What I do, and what it costs

Four ways I work with artists, filmmakers, and brands. Every project is quoted properly after a short call — but the ranges below are honest starting points, not bait.

Music Production

Full-service production from a voice memo to a finished master. I work across electronic, ambient, and cinematic styles, and I'm equally happy shaping a song you've already written or building one with you from a single idea.

What's included

  • Arrangement and songwriting support — structure, dynamics, and the parts that carry the emotion
  • Recording, editing, and comping of vocals and live instruments
  • Original sound design and synthesis, built from real sources rather than presets
  • Mix and master included, delivered to streaming loudness targets
  • Full stems and an instrumental version on request, at no extra cost
  • Two full revision rounds after the first complete mix

How it runs

  1. A short call to talk through references, goals, and what the song needs to feel like.
  2. I build a 60–90 second demo so we lock the direction before the expensive work starts.
  3. Full production, with check-ins at the points where your input actually changes the outcome.
  4. Mix, master, and delivery in every format you need.

Who it's for

Independent artists preparing a single or EP, labels who need a producer with a specific sonic signature, and writers who have strong songs but no path to a finished record.

Scoring & Content

Original music written to picture for film, documentary, podcasts, games, and brand campaigns. The goal is never "nice music over the top" — it's music that makes the edit land the way the director intended.

What's included

  • A spotting session to decide together where music helps — and where silence does more
  • A recurring thematic motif so the score feels composed, not assembled
  • Cues cut to picture, plus alternates at 60 / 30 / 15 / 6 seconds for campaigns
  • Stems for every cue, so the dub stage can rebalance without calling me back
  • A completed cue sheet and a clear, written licence for the agreed territory

How it runs

  1. Spotting session against a rough cut — we agree what each scene is doing emotionally.
  2. Theme development: two or three short sketches to choose a direction.
  3. Cue drafts delivered against picture, revised as the edit settles.
  4. Final mix to picture, stems, and paperwork.

Who it's for

Documentary and independent film teams, agencies building a campaign that needs one coherent sound, podcast producers who want a real identity, and game studios needing adaptive cues.

Mixing & Mastering

For when you've produced it yourself and it's almost there. I'll take your session and give it depth, balance, and a master that holds up next to commercial releases — without flattening the character you built.

What's included

  • A free file check before we start, flagging clipping, phase, and tuning issues
  • Full mix from your stems — up to 40 tracks included in the base rate
  • Master delivered at streaming loudness, plus a more dynamic album alternate
  • Instrumental, a cappella, and clean/radio edits generated at no extra charge
  • Two revision rounds, with recalls kept open for 90 days

How it runs

  1. Send stems (24-bit, consistent start point, no master-bus limiting) and two reference tracks.
  2. I check the files and confirm scope and price before any money changes hands.
  3. First mix delivered within 5–7 business days, with notes on what I changed and why.
  4. Revisions, then master and full delivery set.

Who it's for

Producers and artists who track and arrange their own material but want an outside pair of ears for the final 20% — the part that decides whether a record sounds finished.

Teaching & Mentorship

One-on-one sessions built entirely around your own music. No fixed syllabus — we open your actual project file, find what's holding it back, and fix it together while you learn why.

What's included

  • 60- or 90-minute live sessions over video, screen-sharing both ways
  • A recording of every session, so you can re-watch instead of scrambling for notes
  • A written action plan after each session — three concrete things to do next
  • Written feedback on one project file between sessions
  • Access to Production Fundamentals, my 40-lesson course, included with any 4-session block

How it runs

  1. A free 15-minute intro call to work out where you actually are and where you want to get to.
  2. Sessions weekly or fortnightly — whatever survives contact with your real schedule.
  3. You work between sessions; I review what you send and adjust the plan.
  4. We finish tracks. Finishing is the skill everything else hangs off.

Who it's for

Complete beginners who've never opened a DAW, and intermediate producers with a folder of 80%-done ideas who need to break that pattern. No prior theory assumed, ever.

Before you get in touch

The questions that come up most often when someone's deciding whether to book.

How do payments work?

50% to book the dates, 50% on delivery of the final master. Mentorship is paid per session or per block, up front. I'll send a written quote and scope before either of us commits, so there are no surprises on either side.

Who owns the music when we're done?

You do. For production and mix work, you keep full ownership of your master and composition. For commissioned scores, ownership and territory are agreed in writing before I start — I'm flexible, but it's always written down.

What if I don't like the first version?

That's what the demo stage is for — we lock direction before the expensive work happens, which is why it rarely goes badly wrong. Every project also includes two full revision rounds. If it still isn't right after that, we talk honestly rather than quietly billing more hours.

Do you work with clients in other countries?

Most of my work is remote and always has been. Files, calls, and shared reference playlists cover almost everything. I've worked with artists across three continents without it being a problem.

Can you work to a tight deadline?

Sometimes — it depends what's already booked. Rush work carries a 25% surcharge because it means moving other people's projects. Tell me the real deadline in your first message and I'll be straight with you about whether it's possible.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell me what you're making and where you're stuck. If it isn't something I should take on, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
